How does the Design process work?
We work with you to come up with requirements for your website or mobile application, then we design your website, integrate your copy, build custom apps, etc. Our process is explained in detail here.

Why do I need a Content Management System?
If you don’t have a CMS, you cannot edit your website content unless you know at least the basics of HTML. Getting a Content Management system is a way to avoid having to learn code while still having complete control over your content.

We use WordPress for the majority of our clients’ websites. We even use it for our own website. WordPress has many advantages:

  • Easy to set up/ easy to change content with little or no technical knowledge
  • 18,000+ plugins that expand functionality, many of which are free, all of which are easy to implement and use
  • You can use WordPress to power your both your website and your blog, without setting up two websites
  • Choose from thousands of free template designs or we can design a custom one just for you.

If your web-based application is more complicated, we also have extensive experience developing completely custom solutions.

What if I need help writing content for my website?
This is often the hardest part of building a website. We know that you are an expert when it comes to your business, but we also know that it is not always easy to translate that expertise into a web-accessible format. If you have trouble writing content for your website, know that we are here to help. The following is a rough guide to pages you should include:

Many of the pages of your website will be standard and easy to write. For example, everyone needs a Contact page and an About Us page.
Contact Page: This should contain your address, phone number(s), fax numbers (if you have any) and email. It is a good idea to include a map, so that your clients can picture where you are located. It is also a good idea to include a contact form right on the page, so that the user does not have the extra bother of opening up their email to contact you.

The most prominent of part of your website should contain a list of products or services that you offer. Make sure to emphasize what makes you different from other companies who offer this product or service. This section should form the bulk of your static content, as it is the most important part of your website. If it’s done well, it will help deliver customers and drive your business.

Depending on your needs, you may also include the following optional sections.
Careers: A brief description of the type of person you are looking for and the work environment you offer. Include all the perks of working at your organization. If you have open job postings, list them here. If not, briefly describe the type of openings that come up and include an email or a link to your contact page.
Online Shop:
Admin/Members’ Area: If your organization has a need of file-sharing or if you have private information that should be reserved for employees only, you may include a password-protected members’ only/ Intranet area that is restricted to current employees.
Case Studies: A place to include testimonials from past or existing clients about how great you are.
Team: Depending on the nature of your business, it may be helpful to include a list of who is who, so that your clients know who to contact for their particular issue.
Blog: If you have the time, ideas and energy to maintain a blog, it’s a great way to increase traffic to your website and to grow your business.

You are the only one who can decide on the exact content your website should contain, but we will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your website content and design are something to be proud of.

If you still need help writing content, we will put you in contact with professional copy-writers.*
