Philosophy
At WorkAround we believe in transparency throughout the consulting, design and development process. We avoid geek-speak as much as possible; we always explain what we mean. When consulting, we explain our processes in language you can understand. We use easy online tools to track our work and progress, which allows our clients to not only monitor, but also be part of the design and build process. We organize large projects by breaking them down into manageable tasks or milestones, to simplify the tracking of our progress.
We believe in documenting everything. Every step of the way, we document our questions, recommendations, and your decisions to help ensure everyone on the project has access to the most up-to-date and accurate information.
We also subscribe to agile development methodologies. What this means is we divide design and development into smaller chunks called iterations. The point being we can deliver concrete progress in short intervals.
We also believe that in every industry small and medium businesses can run enterprise-level solutions, at small-business costs, and out-perform the large corporate competitors. *reference to Toronto Star article
Furthermore, it’s critically important to us to build long-term relationships, not one-time contracts. Not only does it help us build better, more effective solutions to meet your needs, it just makes good business sense. We don’t waste time and resources looking for new contracts, you don’t waste time and resources looking for new solution providers.
